How are wheelchair platform lifts powered?
The vertical platform lifts we offer are powered by normal AC current, with an option to upgrade to a continuous charging DC battery-power motor. Choosing the battery-powered unit can be advantageous as it will provide several “round trips” in the event of a power outage. A platform lift with AC power will not run if there is an electrical outage.
How much does a platform lift cost?
The cost of wheelchair platform lift will vary depending on the configuration/model, site prep, permits and added safety options. On average, prices range from $12,000-$35,000.
